Covid restrictions again in Bihar, evening curfew from 6 to 21 January

Amid the escalation of Covid-19 cases within the state, the Bihar authorities on Tuesday decided to impose an evening curfew from 10 pm to 5 am with effect from January 6 to January 21 and to close all parks, gyms, swimming pools and shopping malls.

The choice was made at a meeting of the Disaster Management Group (CMG) chaired by Prime Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday evening.

The state authorities, which had already introduced college closures of up to 8 lessons, decided to allow lessons for college students aged 9 to 12 with 50% attendance. The association has additionally decided to reduce attendance to 50% in authorities and personal workplaces and foreigners will not be allowed in workplaces.

Ports will remain open until 8 pm.

Spiritual sites will remain closed to worshipers while hostels and dining venues will operate at 50% capacity. There is likely a maximum of fifty people for the marriage ceremonies and twenty people for the final ritual features.

The federal government has allowed non-secular and cultural social features at 50% capacity for more than fifty people.
