I'm at Apple HQ – why three new devices are better than the iPhone 14

APPLE simply launched a series of recent devices along with the iPhone 14 – however, that wasn't the right choice for me. All the new gear is at Apple HQ in California, and there are three items I'm really excited about.

There's a lot to love about iPhone 14 – along with the new colors and an enhanced camera.

But the list below is three new models of devices that stole the present for me at an Apple event yesterday…

Apple Watch Extremely

Apple Watch is the ultimate timekeeping giant – it even sells top of all the Swiss watch business.

Now Apple has made its biggest change ever with the Apple Watch Extremely.

It's like having Bear Grylls on your wrist, with a sturdy exoskeleton and plenty of styles to keep you protected on your next ride.

The watch features a giant and bold design made of aircraft-grade titanium.

It's more durable and water-resistant than any Apple Watch we've ever seen. In fact it appears to be half.

The GPS has been improved, and there are waypoint and backtracking options that can help you get lost. The massive battery life of just 36 hours provides the convenience of thoughts.

There's also a vibrant orange action button that you need to use for quick settings – like creating accurate GPS points as you go.

If all else fails, you can probably sound an 86dB siren appropriately built into the watch body.

It's not low-cost at $799 / £849, yet it looks like an absolute workhorse – and it will save your life in the wild. Priceless, indeed!

iPhone 14 Professional

The iPhone 14 looks nice, for sure – but the iPhone 14 Professional really stole the present. Ultra-fast A16 processor and a brighter display than ever before.

However, what actually stood out was the iPhone's redesign – unique to the professional viewer.

The 'notch' at the top of the screen – first launched with the iPhone X – has ended dealing with Face ID.

However, Face ID and the selfie camera are still there, but they are not hidden inside a small bead-shaped hole.

This new “small slit” is called the Dynamic Island.

Ostensibly that should be a bad factor because it obscures part of the ar display – however, Apple somehow manages to show it in a really nice job.

You can click on it to fully expand it to a valid notification popup.

It will show continuous background data like playing music, timer countdown, or trip progress in taxi app.

When you are enjoying music, you may see the album artwork and waveform in color matched.

Apple says it will also transmit sports activity results to Dynamic Island.

It's infinitely top notch, and the $999 / £1099 iPhone 14 Professional actually saves the sting over its cheaper sibling.

Apple AirPods Professional

I wasn't expecting this to be as impressed with the new AirPods Professional as I used to be.

Despite everything, the gadget appears to be pretty much the same as its 2019 predecessor from the surface.

However, Apple has made some significant improvements that would imply that AirPods Professional 2022 are the most effective wi-fi headphones available on the market.

First, Apple tweaked the instruments in AirPods to provide improved sound – especially higher bass. It's amazing enough.

The new modular H2 chip inside also means you get six hours of listening per charge — and 30 hours with the charging case.

Active Noise Cancellation has been improved, however it was already fairly good. AirPods sport headphones.

Most importantly, Transparency mode makes it easy to hear necessary issues like voices – while shutting off the sound is loud Powerful noise: Let's say trains, visitors, or a relentless hum from the aircraft cabin. Quantity varies.

Spatial audio – the 360-degree audio that some music and movies provide – can now be customized using your iPhone.

You should use a TrueDepth camera on the entrance to scan your head and ears to fully optimize the single “audio scene”.

This means that you should be able to enjoy spatial sound no earlier than that.

And if that wasn't enough, Apple chucks in a free case pat – along with Memoji – on this great pair of £249/$249 earbuds.

Apple has managed to pack it in so many improvements to AirPods Professional – I can't wait to get it right.
